Lagan Construction has a close shave in raising €4,581.61 for Galway Hospice

photograph-copyLagan Construction raised €4,581.61 for Galway Hospice through a beard and head shaving night.  The event took place in Keane’s Bar, Oranmore on the 7th December, where 10 brave men shaved their beards while 2 others took the ultimate challenge and shaved their heads, all for Galway Hospice.

Pictured at the cheque presentation were (l-r): Seamus Sorohan, Kate Kelly, Tommy Fox, John Meehan (Galway Hospice), Bryan KcKevitt, Caolan Doyle, Willie Cunneen, Odran Power, Dermot Gilheaney, Declan O’Connell, John McNamara and Oisin Boyle.

Well done to these fearless men for taking on this challenge, just to raise funds for Galway Hospice, and thanks to everyone who supported their fundraising endeavour.

This donation will help Galway Hospice to continue providing our fully-accredited specialist palliative care services to adults and children with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses throughout Galway city and county, and on the adjoining islands, as well as providing support to their families and carers. These services include Home Care, Inpatient Care, Day Care, Bereavement Support and Education and are provided free of charge, for as long as they are needed.
