The 2020 Galway Memorial Walk will take place on Sunday 13th September, beginning at 12 noon from the Claddagh Hall, following the traditional coastal route to Blackrock and return - a total distance of 6.5km. The Memorial Walk is Galway Hospice's biggest annual fundraising event, and it has become a very special and deeply personal event for the people of Galway.

Those who take part in the Galway Memorial Walk do so in remembrance of a deceased family member, friend or work colleague, with many participants wearing the name of their loved one on specially personalised tee-shirts, provided by the Hospice. Those wishing to take part in this year's Memorial Walk must register in advance.

Funds raised through the Walk each year, help our nursing, medical and support staff to bring comfort to those who are coping with the diagnosis of cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. More patients than ever, both adults and children, with an ever-widening range of life-limiting illnesses, are turning to us in their time of need.

Your support will enable us to continue to provide our specialist Palliative Care services, free-of-charge and to the greatest possible number of patients, for as long as they are needed. Someday, someone you know may need our services. Others need us today.

To participate please contact the Galway Hospice Fundraising Department on 091-770868 or email
